Full Version: Decoding failure playing mp3s

Hi,

Firstly I would like to thank you all for your help in this forum, and Peter for foobar.

I have the following issue I have looked for on the forums and so far found nothing.

I am running foobar 0.9.5. More or less since upgrading to this version I get a relatively frequent "Decoding failure (Unsupported format or corrupted file)" error, particularly when playing mp3 files. Foobar then moves onto the next track. When the same track is played in winamp, this does not happen. I don't have much in the way of additional components (masstagger, codec support). Is there any way to fix this? I would love to keep on using foobar because it is by far the best, but this error is quite irritating!

For information: I run Windows XP SP2.

Thank you very much in advance for any help you can provide me with.

Hi, I've uploaded an example here:

Decoding failure is at about 8s.

Thanks!

The Link
Using "Fix MP3 Header" and "Rebuild Stream" seems to fix the problem so I guess that there was sth. wrong with the file.
