Full Version: Foobar Doesn't Recognize Directories

I'm running Windows 2003, SP2.

I am using Foobar 0.9.5b8, though this problem has existed in other recent foobar versions as well.

Sometimes, when I am using foobar, foobar loses its ability to read directories. Choosing to simply add them as a playlist item instead. I cannot pinpoint when and why it does this, it is seemingly random.

I have tried reinstalling foobar with minimal components a few times, and it never really seems to fix it. I only have this issue on THIS computer too.

I can usually "fix" the error by restarting foobar. Sometimes it works again after one restart, sometimes it takes two or three.

The worst part of this glitch is that when I go to rescan my media library, foobar will find one file and think it is finished, effectively wiping out my entire library. Sadness.

has anyone ever run into this before? If you need more detailed information, please tell me how to retrieve this information and I'll be happy to fill you in.

Providing your list of components would be a big help. Also check the list of banned/troublesome components and see if you're using any of them (e.g. input_matroska is known to break drag-and-drop and do some pretty annoying stuff).
