Im using an M-Audio Transit > TOSLink> Behringer DEQ2496 for playback, and ive notice that when i switch from 24/48 to 24/96 within the M-Audio control panel on my pc, the lcd on the DEQ2496 reads "sample rate 96khz" for the input

Does that mean that the Transit is resampling and if so is it taking place within hardware??

I realize there is no point to resampling up to 96khz but i would just like to understand all this a bit better so plz help thanks... smile.gif

Sounds quite logical. If you are running Windows 2k/XP and using Wave or DirectSound, it's most likely Windows doing the resampling.
