hello, i'm thinking about making a plugin/enhancement for foobar2000 0.9.5 and newer. my goal is to modify playlist renderer found in std_ui. i like the way windows media player shows album arts there (in detailed or list mode).

i haven't made further investigation of the problem so far, but once the last letter of this post is typed i'm gonna study something. although i have some question prior, so it won't be wasted time. is it real? what would be the fastest way to do this? do i have to create new component or may i just modify one already created? may i use visual studio 2008 express?

thank you very much for your interest.

btw: sorry for the dumb topic name sad.gif i havent checked it before i submitted (someone could change it, because i can't)

You cannot modify or extend the playlist renderer in the Default UI. You would have to write a playlist renderer UI Element from scratch. At the moment, this is impossible since the UI Element SDK has not been released yet.

On the bright side, Visual C++ 2008 Express should work just fine for creating foobar2000 plugins.
