Hi,

I'm regularly using lame.exe to decode MP3 files and check for possible file integrity issues, as it's the only software I know of that will display error messages on such errors.

The downside is that it creates the resulting .wav file, thus slowing down the process. Does anybody know any free application that will do that kind of check without actually writing the resulting file?

Thanks!
