Hi there

im looking to buy a network media player capable of playing FLAC files at reasonable quality. the media will be hosted on my NAS (running windows server 2003). also (if possible) i would like to be able to play video files on it as well. can anyone suggest any makes/models to me??

i was looking at the logitech Squeezebox, and wondering if anyone have any thoughts/opinions on that???

Thanks
Murray

Search in this forum for squeezebox or look at this forum below and you'll find a few days worth of reading on this. Seems to be quite popular (and will definitely play FLAC files).

This does FLAC and video, pretty sweet.

It looks like they are working out the bugs in the firmware though.

Another vote for the SqueezeBox as a brilliant FLAC player, but it doesn't play video. Also, there's a new version coming out; the SqueezeBox Duet.

if you need video, there's also tvix, escient, netgear, ziova.
