Hmm... Sorry for being picky but I believe the correct version number is 5.5.10.7 (just a minor upgrade from 5.5.10.0?)

Anyway, does anyone know what's new in this version? I believe the MPEG 4 plugin has been updated with some fixes (from the one included in 5.5.10.0)?
cadabra3
No problem- thanks for the correction. Don't see anything on the site yet re: changes; though new update of NeroVision too (correct me if I'm wrong). Did notice one small difference- besides gui changes; appears to be a 'call home' feature I don't remember from before. I turned it off with an external program- curious what it is relaying information wise.

One new addition is the Nero Fast Burning Plug-In for Windows Media Player 9 and it's installed by default (at least in my system, because I have wmp9 installed...)

Yeah, I noticed that Nero Fast Burning Plug-In too. What is that? And what are the gui changes? I don't see any. blink.gif

Its hard to keep up with the version numbering scheme Ahead is using. biggrin.gif

Anyone knows what are the changes to the MP4 plugin?

5.5.10.7b is out now. look at the download page.

Well, that's it! I refuse to upgrade Nero ever again until Ahead publishes the change log mad.gif How difficult can it be for them? dry.gif This is getting ridiculous! Sometimes I feel that they don't publish the changes soon enough because they want users to download the upgrade and test some new stuff without them knowing...

edit: it seems that the only change from 5.5.10.7 to 5.5.10.7b is msa.dll rolleyes.gif

Me too! And I mean, downloading 10+ MB everytime, just for some tiny bugfix?
Could they just have a little update for you to DL until a MAJOR revision comes?

(I am so ashamed)  :(

Don't be.
Sometimes cable setup can be as low as 64 kbps. Now that's the real shame. It gives the technology the bad name B).
Well, MS and DUP must die rolleyes.gif, everyone knows it, but keep somehow using either one of them or both, that's the celavie. :'-)

Anyway, something irrational makes me dl virtually every single update from ahead, altough some of them were reaaaally messed up, so it's more advanced to stick with some stable version untill others report that new one is good and rolleyes.gif safe rolleyes.gif to use.
But it's against the risky nature of hardcore-update-hunter (that's me).

Man ahead is really starting to piss me off. The mp4 plugin still refuse to accept a multichannel wav file to encode. Why is it taking so long to come up with a solution? Last time I reported this problem was back during the week of Dec. 20, 2002! Its been about a month and a half and still no results .

this is strange, and if true, a blatant violation of user privacy

Has this been actually confirmed?
What exactly is it about?
