Hello,

I have WAV files with 6 audio channels inside (open well with WinAMP and Audacity).
If I understand well, these are WAVE-EX files.

But my PC configuration do not allow me to read them using DirectShow, neither in WMP nor in GraphEdit.

I absolutely need to be able to read these files through DirectShow because I go through an app which is DS based.

Through my search on the forum I saw many suggestion for tools on how to make or split 6-ch WAV files, but nothing regarding DirectShow.

Could someone point me to a DS filter tha could open such files ?

Thanks for your help.

best regards,

If your problem is rendering multichannel files, then inserting AC3Filter in your graph would do the job.

Version 1.01 is considerably smaller than recent incarnations. Install it and select PCM format for processing. Do not apply any radical sound adjustments while watching movies, because they will be applied to all DirectShow audio now.

If your problem is rendering multichannel files,

I would say that my problem is more «parsing» than «rendering».
But from your description it my lead to then same in that case, so I will try this and let you know.

Thanks.
