Used abcbr java app to abx a 256 lame vbr against a LP2 transcoded from the same MP3 - result = 20/30 correct.
I made sure that i deleted the MP3 from the sonicstage library after transcoding to LP2 , then reimported LP2 before converting that to wav.
I thought it would be easy , my ears suck.

Done a few more abx , wow it is fun.
One of the ones i done was atrac3+ 64 vs MP3 at 128 / mp3 64 vs mp3 128
I could abx both no problem but atrac was much harder than 64 mp3 , i thought some people hear were saying that lame at 64 was better than atrac3+?
