My Nokia N82 will only read cover art if it is tagged onto the mp3 using the cover(front) tag. But when I add cover art to my mp3 s in iTunes it adds the images as "other" which the phone will not read. I have a LOT of mp3's tagged in this way and I want to convert them all to have the cover(front) tag without doing it album by album.
Anybody know of a solution?

Hi williamsardar,
This was pretty easy to implement in an iTunes add-on.
If are interested, you could try. I will send you a PM with a URL to download.
Once you have it installed, go to Options (press F2) > Validate > Tracks
Check the checkBox: Change Picture Type from "Other" to "Cover (front"
Hit OK
Press Validate Selected Tracks.

Firstly thanks very much for doing this! Ah.... now I realise that I forgot to mention that I am a Mac OS X user! Do you have the ability to make a script I can run in iTunes on the mac? Otherwise I'll have to import the tracks I want to tag into iTunes in Windows then run it from there.
I've had a go using the prog you sent. It seems quite complicated! I don't really want to change anything about my tracks except the image type, is there a way to do this using the program you sent? I tried processing a few mp3s and it changed all sorts of things like the track number format etc.

williamsardar,
By default there are a few checkBoxes checked but it is guaranteed they are not going to mess your tagging in any way. You can disable all those and just have Checked the checkBox: Change Picture Type from "Other" to "Cover (front" in Options. Of those MP3s you processed, is the problem fixed?
The process involves changing some byte settings (in the Picture frame) and I am not sure how to do it for a Mac environment. I used Taglib# which can be compiled to Mac using Mono but I have never tried that. Hopefully somebody else here will.
Cheers.

I use SyncTunes on the mac to transcode all the mp3's i want to put on my phone into AAC format and the album art is automatically put in a N82 readable format.

Hi Solid,
If you download the latest beta version of iTSfv using
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.p...ckage_id=243989in Options:

tick the checkBox: change cover art type to front
select the tracks in iTunes that you want artwork type changed
validate selected tracks in the main window
The two alternatives work OK!!
Thanks so much guys
