when being in media library tree, how can i start a track by double clicking mouse??? using context menu - play seems to be a bit complicated... and in keyboard shortcuts i didnt find a solution.

Hm, good question, I never realised that wasn't working. I have the song sent to the playlist but I need to doubleclick it to start it playing. Not a big problem to me since I rarely do this with single songs but it really would be nice to have an option to have the doubleclicked song playing automaticly.

Depends on the actual Media library viewer used, but at least for the default "Album list", you can set the action performed in "Preferences/Media Library/Album List - Events - Double-click action".

thx for your answer, but this way foobar always creates or changes a/the playlist... it would be useful, if there could be another option, that only plays the file, without usage of any playlist. wink.gif

Yes, the simple "Play" option is missing. The additional functionality like this has been suggested a few times already, maybe you just need to cry louder.
