There encoded with Lame 3.97 256kbps CBR. Walmart now only sells MP3 songs and they dont sell WMA files anymore. Amazon uses Lame 3.97 256kbps VBR according to dbpoweramp converter software. When i put my mouse over a song its says it was encoded with Lame.

That's good news, looks like it's a V0 rip. Which may mean that Amazon and Walmart are using the same catalog. Emphasis on "may".

That is pretty good. I just downloaded a mp3 file off of Amazon.com (it is Disturbed's new single) and iTunes and dbpoweramp report that the song is encoded at 256kbps CBR with Lame 3.91. Kind of strange but it is nice to see services like this use higher bitrate content and the DRM-free mp3 format along with the Lame mp3 encoder. It is not that my ears can hear a difference (I can't ABX 128kbps Nero/iTunes AAC), but storage space is drastically increasing in everyday devices so the need to use a lower bitrate keeps diminishing.
