Does anyone here have one i would like to know how the sound quality is. Cnet said that it has pretty decent sound quality. I also like how it has a very nice screen.

I think that the sound quality is above average especially when you consider other players in the price range. I would even say that it is better than my 16GB iPod touch. I am not a good enough judge to say whether it is better than my 5G 60GB iPod or not but many argue that the 5G iPod is one of the best when it comes to audio quality.

I believe the screen on the Zen has the most colors when compared to other popular players. However, the brightness on the Zen leaves much to be desired. My 5G 60GB iPod looks like it has a better screen simply because it is brighter. I have a 4GB model purchased back in December of 2007 so Creative might have changed somethings since then. I do know that my iPod touch has a much, much brighter screen and it appears to be of higher quality (although I don't believe it has as many colors as the Zen's). Then again, one is a 16GB device that was $400 and the other is a 4GB device that I payed a little over $100 for.

What lossy audio format were you looking at using and what encoder?

how does its sound quality compare to iRiver Clix2 or E100? I'm looking for a new player to replace my clix2. I hope to get a player with similar sound quality.
