I apologize for this noob question but I'm in the trying to choose a media player that is 24/96 compatible and provides a 24bit signal to windows volume control, I understand that foobar2000 does both but I like the MCE interface a lot and I like the fact that I can control it via remote along with fact that MCE is compatible with my VFD display on my HTPC case. So is MCE 24/96 compatible and will it not loose resolution as with its volume control?

I think the answer is yes since WMP supports ripping to WMA Pro, which is a 24/96-capable codec.
