Hi there! This question didn't seem to fit any other forum, so I'll ask here.

I have a Nintendo DS hooked up to my computer's mic jack using a male-to-male 3.5mm cable. Sound recording is fine. However, I also want to hear the sound through my headphones as it is being recorded, but I haven't been able to figure this out.

Is this possible in Audacity or Cool Edit Pro 2? (I haven't spent the cash on upgrading to Adobe Audition, although I suppose it would work relatively the same)

Thank you in advance! laugh.gif

Normally the function is provided by the hardware audio codec and controlled with SNDVOL32 (Volume Control, Playback Control, etc). There should be a mixer strip called "line in" or "input".

I believe audio hardware is the right forum...

That worked! Thank you very much! Mic was on mute.
