Full Version: Verifying Copied Mixed Mode CD with AccurateRip

I have been testing out EAC on a mixed mode CD with an appended data track. I am trying to make a copy of the audio tracks of the disc and have AccurateRip confirm that the new CD is an exact copy (excluding the data track).

When ripping the original CD, the tracks all match AccurateRip database with high confidence. I then write the WAV files to a blank CD. With the copied CD, all of the AccurateRip checks fail. I confirm the data on both discs is exact by comparing the WAV files from the original and copied disc.

So, is there anyway to get AccurateRip to recognize the copied CD with the missing data track? Can the original DiscID value be written to the copied CD to fix this? The other option I was thinking of was creating a blank data track on the copy?

Thanks.

The data track is needed as it is sed as part of the DiscID calculation.

What about write offset of your burner? wink.gif

Edit: Sorry I haven't read it completely...

UPDATE:

I re-created the CD with a multi-session dummy data track at the end. The data track was simply set to all 0's, using cdrdao ZERO command. I ended up with two new CD's. The first CD had a data track of just 4 seconds, on the 2nd CD the exact frame count from the original was set.

Unfortunately, EAC was not able to match the CD with the 4 second data. So, only the CD with the correctly sized data track worked.

Now, from what I can tell, EAC CUE files leave out the size of data track. So then is it accurate to say that EAC CUE files do not have enough information to correctly duplicate the CD? The data part of the CUE file i used is shown.

CODE
FILE "track.wav" WAVE
  TRACK 13 AUDIO
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
  TRACK 14 MODEx/2xxx
    TITLE "DATA"
    INDEX 00 04:47:4

Thanks
