Hey, so i recently bought a pair of Fostex PM1 MK-II's, great speakers.

My current signal path is, Onboard sound -> 3.5mm Jack to Dual Mono XLR -> Powered Monitors.

Naturally this has a few problems, aside from the sheer fact im running via onboard sound, the only way i can alter volume is in the OS software.

So I want to change my signal path to:

Computer -> Sound Card -> Small Mixer -> Monitor
.....................................................................-> 3.5mm jack to sub. (this is because my sub is a little logitech, its not a big issue as it gets the job done.)

I dont have a huge budget, so i need a Sound Card (auzen prelude?) and a small mixer.

Any thoughts?

No mixer required.

but I'd claim you need a new soundcard wink.gif
atleast 6.3mm outputs balanced would be nice.

I could do with something like that. A version with a stepped attenuator would be perfect.
