I have read a little on DTS encoding and I’ve seen that seems doesn’t exist a free DTS encoder.

Even if I was looking for a command line encoder, for many reasons and not only for implement it in Foobar, the only encoder I had occasion to try is SurCode DTS Encoder 1023.

I have to say that I do not like it very much, and the need of split each single channel is very annoying.

My target is to encode a 6ch music from a lossless source to an high resolution lossy format fully DVD video compatible. Why don’t to use AC3 (Aften)? Because seems the only DVD compatible kbps for 6ch is only 448. I would like to produce an higher resolution audio on a DVD video format. The DTS can reach 768 kbit/s up to full bitrate 1536 kbit/s. This seduces me, and so I am looking for a command line DTS encoder, even for pay. What are your experiences and suggestions?

Kind regards.

The is no CL DTS Encoder available yet.
You can develop a CLE version of DTS Enocder base on SurCode DVD DTS.
