Full Version: Burrrn equivalent for Linux?

I was wondering if anyone could suggest an Linux equivalent for the 'Burrrn' software (http://www.burrrn.net/?page_id=4). I want to be able to burn my .CUE files (non-compliant, made by EAC) to regenerate my audio CDs exactly as they were.

I have tried using Burrn in WINE, however I get errors such as the following:

QUOTE

Initializing SPTI ... OK!

A solution to my WINE problems would be nice even in the stead of a native Linux solution.

I am running wine-0.9.58, and using the latest version on Burrn - on Debian Etch.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Did you try with CDRDAO?
agabus
Artemis3: Yeah, I did just then, got the same error that showed up when I tried burning the CUE in GNOMEBaker, obviously due to that just being a front-end to CDRDAO.

The new ImgBurn supports most features of Burrrn, capable of burning multiple formats and *-images with CUE-sheets. The thread is here, but he also goes through the whole process of explaining how to install ubuntu. I am sure you can use the same procedure the he uses to install ImgBurn through Wine.

But does it do write offset correction? Without this AccurateRip will not be able to verify the copy.

You said you wanted a Burrrn equivalent.

Burrrn doesn't compensate for write offsets.

Heck, I use it on Windows

AR is only for ripping... ImgBurn does have a verify feature to verify the burned data against the WAV data on the hard drive. So far I am pleased with it and had no problems.

To follow up on the original question, you might be interested in this python script for Linux that can parse EAC CUE files. It is command line only right now, but it should do what you need.
