You claimed to be able to glue two files together gaplessly without re-encoding and you failed.

But the result is very very good, no?

No, the result wasn't good.

If you created it form my files then you did a lossy transcode which is considered bad practice. Not only that but they were also re-sampled adding yet another layer of loss.

For the moment I think it's a good compromise to join files gapless.

Maybe tomorrow...

A better solution would be to simply decode them properly, join them as PCM and then re-encode.
