To my knowledge, sure, just use mp3tag

i've tried that before.
you can, if the files encoded in .m4a format
you can't, if the files encoded in .aac format
cmiiw, .m4a = apple aac, while .aac = nero aac

.m4a is the same as .mp4: it is a container (in contrast to .aac file).
