I'm trying to switch from Winamp to Foobar....Winamp has been crashing on me for the past few months, and it just plain mucks up my entire explorer.exe when I'm running it at the same time as pretty much every one of my development apps. I'm on WinXP Pro SP2.

Can foobar play streaming windows audio? For instance, I've got the address to WJR.com's streaming station:

http://citadelcc-WJR-AM.wm.llnwd.net/citadelcc_WJR_AM

This worked in Winamp, and sometimes if they didn't, I could add a /.wma (I think that was it?) onto the end and then it would work. In foobar, I get this:

"Unable to open item for playback (Unsupported format or corrupted file)"

How can I get this to work? Thanks!

wma should work fine, but I suspect that you are trying a stream using the mms protocol, which foobar2000 doesn't support out of the box. However Acropolis made a component that make it possible. Search for foo_mslive smile.gif
