Sorry if this is a noob question and in the wrong place but after uploading some files to my mp3 player(sansa express) i noticed that the file order was incorrect,i was told that i needed to change the id tags,fb2k was recommended to do this,i have never used anything like this but had ago,i tried selecting each file and adding a track number, this wasn't too bad to do but some of the folders i have can be upto 200 files(these are audio book mp3's).
After having done this however they were still in the wrong order,is there a better/easier way to do this? and is there anything else i can do to get them in the correct order?Btw they are in the correct order while viewing the player through windows, its just not in the player itself.
Thanks in advance for any help.

  1. Select multiple files in the playlist (using the lasso; OR click, Shift+click; OR click, Ctrl+click; OR Ctrl+A (if the case may be), like in Windows explorer),
  2. right-click and select Properties from the context menu.
  3. When the Properties window pops up, click the tools button (or right-click anywhere) and select "Auto Track Numbers"
