Facing a problem with my pen drive I have checked for virus, formatted it atlast but can't find the solution why its showing 986MB used when it do not contains any files or folders.Any answers for this or any suggestions?
What do you
think it should show as free space? Which file system is it formatted with? What is the stated capacity of the pen drive?
If it is stated to be a 1GB pen drive, formatted with FAT, you might reasonably expect to see at least 954MiB of free space (1MiB = 1,048,576 bytes = 1.048576MB so 1GB = 1000MB= 954MiB = 0.9313GiB).
[edit] Sorry, I picked up the wrong end of this particular stick.... Search for the HP Drive Key Boot Utility (cp006049.exe) and it will format your drive (completely

) and make it bootable (as long as you put something like MS-DOS on it....) [/edit]
