No, he said it shows 986 MB used when there are no files on it.
Have you checked for hidden or system files? Is it possible that there is a large block of bad sectors that are counted as used? Give us more information to work with.

Thats the problem which is making me to loose my temper
.My pen drive configures 2 GB originally.I guess it must be some new virus which my antivirus is failing to detect.Not getting what to do.Searched for the problem on net but no use.Shall I try some new antivirus version.I am using Kaspersky currently.What you suggest guys?
try start/run: diskmgmt.msc and see if there's anything funny showing for it in there,,,
