Full Version: converter/FileOps issues since .952

i'm not really sure why or what it is related to exactly, but i've noticed that if i use the converter while i've got the player maximized (spectogram visualization is running@256), the conversion speeds drop significantly (50-90%).. this while foobar uses 0-5% CPU playing back files with the visualizer on, and with the speeds being 'normal' if the player is minimized to the systray.
the same also (less regularly) happens when i'm copying/moving files using the FileOps component.

has anyone else seen behavior like this with .952? (i'm running windowblinds 6.02 as well)

Good sleuthing. I know that the new visualizations are turned off after being minimized for about a minute, I wonder if it would be best if they were "disabled" in the same way when the Converter or fileops is running.

My guess is that it's probably more noticeable when running on a single core CPU.
I am, although I do have hyper-threading.
