Full Version: AccurateRip updated?

Well, I have ripped some cds with EAC 0.99 using AccurateRip (some of them were accurately ripped and some were not in the database), but after ripping the cds again to see if my submissions were ok, I have noticed the same results as when I ripped the cds for the first time; it's identical. I have read in this thread that some people could be banned. Is this my case? I have submitted the results before the database was updated so I don't think that I have submited too late. I have previously submitted my results and they were ok, the cds were updated with the submissions but now, it seems that is not working for me. Anyone has this problem? What's wrong? Thanks smile.gif .

If a CD has multi-pressings you results will not appear in the database until verified by another person,.

Or by the same person on a different system?

Thanks spoon, I checked again and yes the cds that were in the database were updated, but the cds that not were in the database, don't appear in the database so I guess that I have to wait to someone submit the same cd right?.

No.

Spoon is telling you about what happens when the CD is in the database, just that it's a different pressing. This is when you have to wait for additional verification.

If it's a CD that isn't in the database then your results should appear (it might take a couple of weeks), unless you are banned.

Submitting results from different systems will increase the confidence level but it really won't increase the level of confidence as much as if the other submissions were done by someone using a different physical copy of the CD.

Do what you want, but just don't think that because you put it there the same way twice means it can't be error-free.

I just asked this because some months ago I submitted my cds (specially Latin music cds which most of them are not in the database) and some time later I re-ripped again and it gives me a confidence 1. But now I think that I have to have two rips or more in order to appear in the database. About the pressings, yes I have some different pressings and some US pressings (which have a high number of confidence) and in this case (different pressing) I think that I have to wait for an additional submittion to verify the cd. My problem here is about the cds that are not in database; so that's why I am going to try pdq's suggestion ripping the cd on a different machine and see if it appears on database and check if I have a problem with EAC or Accuraterip. unsure.gif

Note: I hope that you can understand this. I am not very good writing in English biggrin.gif .

Yes, that makes sense.

Just to clarify, a different pressing is a disc that has the exact same TOC; all the tracks are exactly the same length and begin at the same address. The PCM data comprising the tracks is different, however, though the difference may be as trivial as an offset.

A disc of a different pressing than the one(s) in the database will still be recognized and results will be given back after ripping, but none of the tracks will be verified as accurate.
