Is there any way to add a function from foo-ultils (specifically the highlight in playlist function) as an event in the Album List component?

I generally play my music from a main playlist (that contains all my music). I would love if I coudl select an artist (or album) in Album List and have it highlight those tracks in my all music playlist.

Does anyone know if this is possible, or if it would ever be planned?

No, there is no way to do this.

Does that mean there is no plan for it in the future (or is there a possibility)?

If it will not work, maybe one of these days Playlist Tree will be ported over to work as an element in the new UI. Since Playlist Tree can do it!
