Well, the header pretty much says it all, I guess it's not that important but still it pisses me off, I'd like to understand why it does that at least.

Music genre and year always appear in my playlist next to the title of the song, but once I tagged them with PicardTagger, it won't display anymore even though the music genre and year are still in the mp3 tag. Any idea why ?

It might be to do with the version of the tag. id3v2.3 or 2.4 perhaps. Or maybe picard saved the tags under a different tag? Have you checked the properties of the file when in foobar?
