I need some information on Bit-Match playing. If I hook up my PC sound card to my receiver via the optical output/input is bit-match the best mode to play my music with(two channel stereo...not anything fancy like dolby or surround)? In addition, does the processor chip matter (xi-fi or CMI8788) if using bit-match?

I have no idea what "Bitch-Match" is, but if it's some kind of a dating agency, don't go there! biggrin.gif

Bit-matched playback will send the content you are plying directly to the reciever, so you have no loss at all.

Beware, if you are using X-fi, to use the latest driver and Audio Creation mode... and still it seems that content is not always send to the reciever "bit-matched" (i have huge problems with samplerate. usually it will not automatically change the sample rate)

What happens if the sample rate is not corrected? How do you fix this problem then so it will be automatically correct the sample rate?

And would I be better off using the HT omega+(for optical out to my reciever) that does not use bit-match play because of this issue?

Wow...I just found out about ASIO4ALL. Have you tried it? How does it compare to Auzentech's version of Bit-Match play?
This is a "lo-fi" version of our main content. To view the full version with more information, formatting and images, please click here.
