How do I change the encoder after it is set on the first encoding? I set foo_converter to use a lame.exe from don't know where, some other program, now I downloaded the new lame3.98beta 8 and I want to change to this new one and I don't know how to do this.
And how I use oggenc2.exe? foo_converter looks for oggenc.exe, should I rename it? tongue.gif

If you choose to edit the preset you can change the dropdown at the top of the dialogue to "Custom", and then change encoder paths.

RE: LAME: why keep two versions anyway? Seems like you may be asking for trouble.

Question: The Converter is asking me for an oggenc.exe file, but all I have is oggenc2.exe from RareWares, what do I do?

Answer: You can safely rename oggenc2.exe to oggenc.exe and point foobar2000's Converter to its location.

Sorry I didn't see the custom in the dropdown.

It is because I want to upgrade to the new lame. The lame.exe I am using is from another program, like Nero or maybe MediaCoder, don't know what program, as the plugin don't show the path for lame.exe

Thanks, it was late of night and I didn't think on search for an answer in a search engine.
