I live in a 375 sq feet 1 room apartment. I have a JVC RX-D205 reciever and I am looking to do a 5.1 surround sound system(mainly for music). Now I need to get some speakers. Which would sound better for an apartment my size?

4 of these:
Sony - 5-1/4" 2-Way Bookshelf Speakers

And I would buy the center speaker seperately. I wouldn't buy a sub woofer for bass because these would give enough bass for my apartment and I don't want to make my neighbors mad.

Or this:
Yamaha - 5.1-Ch. Surround Sound Home Theater Speaker System

And I would just keep the sub woofer at extra low.

Have you been to the store to listen and compare?

The Sony speakers are "full range" speakers, designed to work without a subwoofer. And, your receiver should have a setting for full range speakers. I'd like to see a matched center-channel speaker, although I'll confess that I have a mis-matched center channel speaker in my system.

In my apartment, would I be better off with 2 full range speakers for music lestioning rather than a bunch of seperates?
