First time I'm doing this rating thing in foobar2000, I noticed it's now part of foo_playcount. So I did rate a track and added a %rating%-column, but all I get is a number instead of star... am I missing something?
Yes 
rating is only the number of the stars. In the column you have to create a field value which leads in showing the stars (you must use the $char() command).
