It obviosly can become different sampling rate as soon as you choose to 'smart splitt' video parts with Avidemux..im therefore unsure if this program self shall perform this whole operation allso?, or can use secondary program?
Cause i below have a instuction over a operation thath will make it possible to join such files after, i can understand what it says..but not get the whole way with the thaut in my eggplant-head how to perform it, cause i need additional helium and war-gas tubes for thath

I couldn't understand half of what you wrote.

The sampling rate as well as picture dimensions can't change in the middle of a stream. You'll have to resample and reencode one or the other audio. Be sure to compensate for the difference in length between the video and audio of the first part, or desynchronization will be introduced.

If I understand you correctly, you want to join two .AVI clips containing audio with different sampling rates - for example, one might have audio sampled at 44.1kHz and the other at 48kHz? And are the two audio tracks in the same format - for example, both MP3?

One thing you could do to make it easier for us to help you would be to download GSpot Codec Information Appliance, run it on each clip, and post a screenshot of the GSpot window while each is open. This will allow us to look at the audio and video codecs, audio sampling rate, and bitrate and make recommendations from there.

I guess it would be a lot easier to quickly do it, than write the "script" with all the required actions including possible errors: if you got WMV, get VDub-MPEG2, else...; get lame.exe; if you can't use lame.exe, get Lame ACM, etc... My brain hurts.

If the clips are small, such as music videos, perhaps you could upload them.

Lame ACM i use, but when i say use i mean thath it just lie installed and in my world possible do some positive effects when playing media files..but to go in and edit files with the tool? i offcorse hade no idea you could, and do i have to say thath if so, im in need of step by step instructions

Aren't you referring to the bitrate? Because if your numbers are in kilobytes per second, they equal to about 136 kBit/s or what GSpot reports. Bitrate can and does change during a videoclip. Though it might be tricky to put variable bitrate into AVI.

The first file is Xvid, 512*400, American 30 fps, MP3 48000 Hz allright. And the other one?

Because you're using variable bit-rate mp3s, Avidemux was a good choice (assuming you won't have to re-encode) because it will time-map VBR audio for you (make sure to allow it to do this) and help you avoid any audio/video sync issues.

Not at all. I regularly use XviD to make VBR video encodings and place them inside an AVI container. It's called CQ (constant quality) mode and leads to a bitrate of typically between 600Kbps and 2.5Mbps at a quality level of 90% depending upon the complexity of the original source material.

Not that that helps the OP any. I just thought I'd clear that up.

I never managed to successfully put VBR audio into AVI and went straight to Matroska. But perhaps that's just me. I've got a bad feeling that sampling rate might not be Klopp's problem at all.

MP3 VBR audio works fine in AVI containers. If you're going to join two files with VBR audio, though, the audio must have been encoded the same way (e.g. both are 48kHz 16-bit stereo Lame -v4) and you must use a program that will make a time map of the audio, like Avidemux or Nandub. Provided the source format for the AVI(s) doesn't have sync issues, or they have been corrected, then VBR MP3 works well.

when i learned how to join videos in Avidemux, it didnt care about sampling rates
no matter what vide splitter the parts come from, really nice
