I hope it is much more stable then currnt versions. And I hope it will not be so bloated. Does anyone know if it supports formats like Ogg Vorbis, and FLAC?

I Doubt It

No flame intended, but I just don't see why this 'product' is still on the market. Is it soooo cheap for manufacturers to include this 'product' with their CD-RW drives or what keeps this programme alive??

Well ...

1- you're right, they probably get it for a very low price to expand market share and create a future stream of upgrade revenues for Roxio

2- It's all about the real world. AOL is the #1 ISP in terms of market share for the same reasons Roxio is popular - marketing does make a difference, and most people want a simple clean interface that doesn't ask them to make choices even if it means giving up some control.

3- Roxio is not by any means the worst burning program out there, but it is probably the easiest to use. That's not a bad combo.

If programs like Feurio and even Nero had better marketing and better interfaces, they would be much more successful. But nooooooo .... that's for sissies. Real men use command line programs, dammit!

I have to agree that Easy CD Creator is the buggiest program I've ever used. They issue regular updates that may resolve a bug or two, but with it comes another bug or two!

I'm about to migrate to Nero because I don't hear any bad things about it. However, the user interface certainly doesn't look as friendly as ECDC.

Nero Express is a breeze. And of course you still have access to the full features of Nero since you can switch interface at will.

Or by "friendly" do you mean it should have little smiley faces on it? wink.gif

Wasn't EZ CD the only game in town for a while, when the first mass-market (Blazing 2x speed!) arrived?

I think a lot of their success is just inertia smile.gif

- it's not just giving up control that makes Roxio so bad; I hate, no *despise* how it bolts itself to my OS, replacing DLL's without telling me, etc. The uninstall instructions are a page and a half for version 5.

WinOnCD 6 is also out. I prefer it (but use an old copy of Fireburner for my bins).
