hi frank,
a little dumb question: it is right, that the library search with it's autoplaylist-possibilities is only for DUI? or can i use it with colums UI, too?

The autoplaylists work fine with CUI (i.e. updated correctly). Since you can use "media library viewer" and album list (as a floating window) even in CUI, you should also be able to create autoplaylists with ease.

ah ok. but can i use it without albumlist? i use the "filter"-panels as media library viewer. at the moment i use foo_autoplaylist.

My suggest is, Dump foo_autoplaylist and use "Library > Search" to create autoplaylist instead.
It's work like old autoplaylist + some new thing (hit ? button to learn more) You put in a query in the search box, hit ... button and ... again, you will see the window familiar to old autoplaylist component.
It will create a new autoplaylist, just rename them to whatever you want and it will continue to work.
You can also use albumlist window to do the same thing but if you want to create force-sort playlist like your old autoplaylist, use media library search instead.
