Why not a Cowon iaudio D2? It's not the smallest but it's not big and great quality!

E100 may not be the smallest mp3 players with SDHC

With a 2.4-inch TFT QVGA display, it is still pretty small mp3 player with SDHC slot.

My vote would go towards the Creative Zen. It is not the smallest (you really shouldn't limit your DAP purchase to the smallest size as you are going to find many players in the small shuffle category that lack screens and features) player out there but it has a big screen with many colors and it really thin. My Creative Zen is just as thin as my iPod touch (that says a lot) and supports many SDHC cards.
