Im getting sick of various MP3 splitters thath have a interface like this
all i wanna do is..of a 12 sec long MP3, cut out a part 1 from 0-7 sec, then a part 2 from 7-12 sec
but thei cant do thath obvisosly, when you use the daefult splitting method "splitt by frame"

IPB Image
part 1 allways generates smootly, but a time-shorter part 2 allways generate this
"The end time is bigger than the total time"..ehh no its not bigger, its 7-12 sec..i honestley dont see how you put thath responce natural into the values i marked to splitt

Then we have if we wanna a orger splittingmethod "splitt by size" and i understand nothing how i shall do it and nothing how thath time-counter works, who goes downwards
i flush the whole alternative
Then we have "splitt by time" and you must sitt and count on how many sec in goes one minute laugh.gif
allso a aletarnaive you dont wanna use
I think thath "splitt by frame" menthod is the easiest alternative to splitt out 5 sec at the end,
basicly i just wanna take strict orders how i shall klick to get away from that less-size message..

Thanks
Klopp
Sorry i see to late now thath i posted this into wrong subforum, im gonna move it

Have you tried mp3DirectCut?

It is very easy to use:

1. SET BEGIN at 00:00
2. SET END at 00:07
3. Save selection

Then:

1. SET BEGIN at 00:07
2. SET END at end of file
3. Save selection

Directly editing the audio stream on VBR mp3 files often screws with the reported length, in my experience; being that it's VBR, it needs a seek table, and at least as of a few years ago, MP3DirectCut did not generate a new one after making the edit. Running the edited file through VBRFix or the Foobar Fix Header function always fixed the problem.

@ Veej007: Recent versions of mp3DirectCut (I have used 3 or 4 different versions in the last 2 years) seem to work OK in this respect.

@ Klopp: You are welcome!
