I think this is not possible with lame.exe but I may be wrong. FLAC.exe can do this when re-encoding FLAC files, it imports whatever metadata inside the original FLAC. Does LAME support any command line switch that will import album art tag, is it just limited to ID3v2/v1. I heard that dbPowerAmp will do this but if it's not LAME doing it I would assume it does on its own, right?

Thanks to nyaochi, since 3.98b4, you can use the --ti switch to add album art.

Of course, bearing your topic title in mind, you will need a way to extract the FLAC artwork to a file before calling LAME.

NB: Many members are using the 3.98 betas, myself included.

You are correct: dbPoweramp does the tagging and image insert itself on conversion. (It also does a very nice job of converting between tag standards.)
