I'm using Columns UI, but I also checked Default UI and I can't seem to do this there either. Just above my playlist view I have a toolbar (button bar, whatever). Pre-0.9.5, I had a button called "Autonumber" that ran a masstagger script. I've done away with all other connections to masstagger, but I can't seem to find a main menu or context menu item for autonumbering tracks. I know it's only a few clicks, and I even have a button to take me to the Properties (metadata tab), which makes it pretty easy. But, the first thing I do with any downloaded tracks is renumber them, so the button would be handy.

Does anyone know of a component that would create a new context menu item that runs the 0.9.5 autonumbering? Foobar devs, is that even possible?

Currently not possible without Masstagger.
I find it strange that you need a special button to do this - I typically renumber downloaded tracks as well, but I have to open the Properties dialog on them anyway to check their tags and codec information and possibly fix tagging errors so I wouldn't gain much by having this functionality available outside the Properties dialog.

When you load in playlist a list of downloaded songs the playlist can show allready that tags are wrong or not, you don't always have to open properties for that...

Autotrack is one of the most used taggeroptions, coz that's missing 90% of the time... A shortcut/context to it would be handy, +1 for that.

Don't NEED it, was just wondering if it was possible.
