I currently use foobar v0.8.3.
I have need of a quick way to delete a file not only from the playlist but also from the hard disk.
After searching, it seems there is a straightforward way to do this in version 0.9.5.
But is there a way in 0.8.3, or must I upgrade? (I did briefly try out an early release of 0.9, but preferred the 0.8.3 interface - that's why I've stuck with it until now).
Update:
I downloaded version 0.9.5.3, but since I use Windows 2000, it wouldn't install.
I then found an install file for 0.9.4.2 and that worked. It has the File Operations facilities I need.
However, I need to use the Columns UI interface so that I can sort the playlist by various tags, and the foo_ui_columns.dll I copied from the 0.8.3 folder wouldn't load. Can anyone tell me where I can get a Columns UI component for 0.9.4.2?
Alternatively, is there another way in 0.9.4.2 to sort the playlist by arbitrary tags (eg. to order by artist, album, title, song length, etc)?

Columns UI: www.yuo.be
Thanks. I was initially a bit worried when it said XP or Vista, but tried version 0.2 and it did install and work on Win2K.
