Thanks for this free release!

It's a nice opportunity to check the performance of some lossless compressors on 24-Bit samples. I was only interested in compressors and modes/presets which can decode quite fast: TAK (obviously) FLAC, WavPack and Monkey's Audio (MAC).

Here my small comparison:

Better on average than MAC on 24-bit files. Congratulations.

16-bit needs slightly more work though

I'm already very satisfied with TAK and converted The Slip to TAK as soon as I downloaded it (twice - I was hasty enough to get the first, padded 16-bit version as well

). I won't convert Ghosts, though - I'm too lazy to manually embed track art into 36 files

(And TBeck, you mentioned some changes to the format before that would break compatibility - are you working on it or discarded the idea? Okay, okay, it's a bit off here...)
