Hi everyone

I'm a new user of foobar2000 and so far it's proven a very nice program. The oscilloscope in particular is one of the best I've seen implemented in any media player program smile.gif .

However, I'm encountering a strange issue which although should be easy to fix, doesn't seem to be so far. I've got some tracks showing up in my library which I want to get rid of from there. I don't want to delete the actual files, just remove them from the library so they stop showing up. They're all filed under the same album and so forth since they have no ID3 data.

I've been unable to find any way of removing them so far. There seems to be no simple 'Remove from library' function which can do this.

Can anyone please tell me how I can go about doing this?

Thanks in advance.

right click on an item that you want to remove from library, and than select "Remove from library".

haven't you noticed that?

You may have to add that to the context menu in:
Ctrl+P -> Display -> Context menu -> Right-click on the Root-> Insert Item Command

You could alternatively create a keyboard shortcut or a button for the command.

This only appears in the albumlist panel of ColumnsUI, not in the default interface. As mentioned by shakey_snake, "Remove File(s) from Library" needs to be manually added to the context menu.

you are right, shakey_snake option will work in both situations

Note that removed files will be added back on the next rescan if they still reside in one of your library folders.

They will also be added back on the next start of foobar2000, if they are still present in one of your playlists.
