Hi all,

I need an external 2-bay easy swappable HD enclosure for two new Samsung Spinpoint 1TB drives looking like this (or simlar):

http://www.cooldrives.com/esdudrmienfo.html

Why not order from this site then? Well, firstly, they have gotten really bad reviews (the seller that is) and secondly, I cannot get them here in the UK.

My aim is to store all my lossless audio files on one of the TB drives and keep a backup at work. I want to be able to (from time to time) simply bring home the spare HD and quickly insert it into the bay (preferably from the front), sync the HD's and bring back the back-up HD to work.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Cost is $160 USD?!?!?!? Geez, that's a little expensive for little more than external HDD enclosures.

I paid just $29 USD each for several USB 2.0 external 3.5" HDD enclosures for my Western Digital 500 GB HD. I've been using them for a couple of months now without any problems.

Regardless of whether both drives reside in the same enclosure or not, the data still has to go via the PC to get from one drive to the other, so why not just use two separate enclosures. It's a much cheaper way of doing it. smile.gif
