How do you cut mp3s using lame?
(so you won't lose quality so much while cutting)

I use mp3 direct cut which edits the mp3 directly so there is no need to decompress to wav first.

Another good option is pcutmp3.

Do a search on this forum for "mp3directcut" and/or "pcutmp3" and you should find many threads on this subject for further reading, and reasoning.

Edit: FYI: You cannot use LAME to cut an MP3.
