Looks like it would be perfect for me, if only it supported WiFi.

Actually I wanted this one to have an optical disc tray. What happens if your full 500GB hard disk just die all of a sudden?

Excellent. I haven't see this player before. We might need to write a wiki page for it in the foreseable future along with a lot of other hi-end audio players. Good job. I see it supports H.264 for HI-DEF video too. Not bad. wink.gif

It has an external USB 2.0 connector that could presumably be used to connect an external USB 2.0 DVD drive.

With the built-in 100mbit Ethernet connection, couldn't one just hook it up to a Wi-Fi router and access it that way?

The CS615 is engineered from the ground up for high performance networking, with 100Mbit Ethernet networking integrated.

This must be an extended product cycle since the "ground up engineering" must have been done sometime around 1998! tongue.gif tongue.gif

let's hope it works better than that previous piece of crap they put out - the CS510.

Thanks for reminding me of this... I completely forgot of the DVD USB drives. I will be lurking at their forum to see if there is this possibility! This player is really hot.

Why do you call it crap, did you experience something with it? Share with us please.

For one thing I know these players do not support ReplayGain and fully-gapless playback is not yet achieved (when playing FLAC files).

Update: No, it can't read off a directly connected external USB 2.0 DVD drive.
