I'd also be happy to see chronflow integrated (Maybe it takes more memory, but at least on my computer it is far more stable; and it is much more flexible)

the f2k has 7 playback modes,but IBIZA only has 3 buttons for playback mode changing , can you complete the other 4 buttons in v1.2 ? I also think the start panel is not necessary in a CUI config ,so can you remove it?

So do I. The lack of Album or Explorer List is a problem - especially for big collections without perfect tagging...
A further Tab "Explorer" would be nice.

I have a few questions, regarding ver. 1.1

- the stars in the playlist look like squares, not stars - can you tell me what font it is used for them?
- the scrollbar can not be used - when I scroll it moves, but I cannot drag it
- the artist/Album header in the playlist look very different from yours

already reply about that (refresh bug with 'album list panel', so use 'Album list' using Library menu)

1) pb with star concern some P config, you have a missing or bad setting for fonts
- use extended fonts (unicode) --> it is tyo activate in XP setting langage (regional settings maybe, i don't remerber ... google for this)
- the font used for the stars and arrow now playing character is MS Mincho : http://kanji.free.fr/download.php

2) scrollbar work fine ... if set to visible of course there is a button at the rigth of the Search toolbar to toggle hide/show scrollbar

3) it miss the red star, see 1)

here is the exact Grouping Script to enter in Prefs/ColumnsUI/Playlist view if Import had not worked for that :

Nope, stars still not working for me after installing the font, I have the small white square boxes too

i can't help anymore, i'm under vista, it is an XP problem, go to Prefs of ColumnsUI/Playlist view, and for the Column 'Rate', modify in the Script of this column the star character (a box for you) with a better one that your OS display.

Stars are working for me with Ms Mincho. I had the font installed, but NG Playlist Item in Columns UI Fonts was not using it but Segoe UI.
Also the formating script for album header was missing.
All working now, thank you.

Hey, is it me, or when you import a .fcl file in columns ui you lose all your previous configs? Or is it just this IBIZA config? I lost all my other ones, not a big BIG deal or anything just a pain to re-make them.

Hmmmm, this is strange, the star appears as a square in the code box. I've tried different fonts with Character Map and I have managed to get a small star working but it is too small, is there some code I can put in the script box to change the size?

Are you running XP or Vista?

XP - check if you have MS Mincho, then go Preferences/Display/Columns UI/Colours and Fonts/, choose Fonts tab, choose Element: NG Playlist: Items + Mode: Custom, then set font to MS Mincho - should do the job if you still have the star in the original config and not *

In columns ui, i use Calibri 9pt and mine works and looks fine. VISTA here

Unnecessary if you install East Asian language support. Font substitution should kick in. Vista has this feature by default.

That only part-works for me, although it shows the stars correctly, if you only select 3 stars then the other 2 un-selected stars that should be red are white and there are 5 of them....

Br3tt, I'm not going to install 255MB of additional language pack just to substitute a font, can't you just use a graphic star there instead?

replace the Star with 'O ', see below, it fit good, what do you think about that ?

I've got small *** now which is better than nothing but it really doesn't work properly on XP with a European regional language set, which is most PC's isn't it?

Sorry, I d not understand this: I tried to position the album list panel - it works great instead of "Artwork". The problem is that I would like to keep the Artwork-Panel.

One option for people having trouble with rating stars and such might be to look for a unicode font with a large character set. I know there are a few free ones out there (though I'm not particularly familiar with them, and I've yet to find one I like better than Arial Unicode, which obviously is *not* free).

No, Ariel Unicode star doesn't work here either

Perhaps font linking could help:

You must have at least one font that has stars, and link it to Segoe.

If you can't use a star , " ♪ " or " ♫ " may works very well

but when I save the settings and restart f2k ,some buttons are missing and the quick search bar is broken

I noticed something weird, when you hide/show the scroll bar it's at the end of the green line in screen shot. You can see the seconds at the end of the song 4:24 :24, and you can't see the tips of the arrow on the scroll bar until you hover over it. Is this planned?

Edit:, also in track infos button, under user info, play count will only show when you right click it, and then scroll and change play_counter, to simply play_count

I just had one question.
In the second picture of the full view, you have different track numbers than what I'm getting (small white boxes with black numbers over them). How do I go about getting those, as I think they're far more attractive than the plain font track numbers.

yes, but on this screen i was using ELPlaylist (removed since v1.1 cause it flash at each new play and on resize), so i only keep the NG Playlist display which is faster.

its a refresh bug, i haven't find a way to fix it (for now)



i can't help you, it works fine for me, are you using the good .fcl + iùages files or maybe have you modify some stuff that could explain this malfunction ?

I've solved this problem...
When I started foobar2000.exe in explorer or from a shortcut , all the things are okay...
But if foobar2000.exe is started not from explorer.exe (ex. from the Media Control plugin of True Launch Bar and RKlauncher ) ,the problem happened...

That's fine. I propose also, to avoid a dummy picture for the artist. If there is a picture artist.jpg, it will be shown; if there is none, only the name of the artist is shown. An empty polaroid-frame has no beneficial effect.

My collections are not sorted well. I changed the cover path to *.jpg, so the first picture will be shown. Perhaps somebody knows a solution to rename the first picture in all folders to folder.jpg?

yes i could now (not graphic but i'll use Wingdings font that everybody has ), i've resolve my bug display on resizing ELPlaylist !!

so, v1.2 will see the come back of ELPlaylist as default playlist with all advantages bring with (last version is a bit more quick )

This has to do with wrong working directory. If I recall correctly, the problem is with relative paths to images in TrackInfo mod. Basically, the working directory of the media plugin of the TLB is, probably, the directory of TLB itself. So it tries to find images in folder "true launch bar/images/ibiza" or something like that. In the properties of the desktop shortcut, for example, you may put any path as a "start directory" (I don't remember the name correctly, 'cause I don't use Windows).

Falstaff, there were some discussions about this problem somewhere at the forum. If I recall correctly, one of the imageabs/ imageabs2 works right and the other do not. Try to define a variable that will hold the path to foobar and work with paths' concatenation from there

Hi Falstaff, perhaps it would be better to sort a little bit more:

At top there is first the play control, so the Timeline should be placed next to this. I think, also the search field has the best place in this line (all working functions together). Otherwise the stars should be placed beneath the titel, because they belong to the song.
Additionally all functions to modify the surface perhaps can be placed at the bottom. I think, there could be some nice signs for Browser, Lyrics ..

Nice preview. i think i found another bug, when i choose another playlist ( one of my autoplaylist) i get the time of the song almost of the screen. Seems like if i choose some of them it happends. I think it has something to do with the number/amount of items in that list. I think. Here is a screen shot of what i mean in green.

Edit: i just found out if the playlist has albumart at least (4) album arts showing in the playlist the time is normal again. Weird. This has to be a bug? then i imagine.
