Are you running a lot of extra components with foobar? I know they can contribute to a higher memory usage in foobar. As it stands, my foobar is taking up 87,196K of memory, which I don't consider that bad.
When you start rendering album art in playlists and such, it can tend to slow down (one of the downfalls of the old PanelsUI that was ultimately never solved.)

Mine takes like 150,344K but then i got some plugins which maybe a little nasty as well as a lot of playlists. I got 2gb of memory so 150mb aint nothing really.

Coverflow is probably what's eating all that RAM. It caches all the album art in memory so it's not constantly dragging on your hard drive. I've heavily modified my ibiza config to exclude coverflow for this reason (and I don't really find it that useful to be honest - I only ever used it to impress a few friends). Without coverflow installed, foobar seems really snappy, loads fast, and only needs about 75 megs at most.

mr muffin is there a way i can get ahold of yours? my foobar i just reinstalled last week after not using it for along time. it uses 150 now but if i use the default user config it uses about 75-80.

I've been very happy with this theme, but I can't seem to see anything in the library or browser tab. I assume this is what it is, but nothing is labeled. Is there a trick to make the text appear?

For the album list follow this, go into foobar preferences, and go to
columns ui
-colors and fonts
colors tab, and then select album list, from the element option, then choose the mode under that to the one you like. try that

PM me your email address and I'll mail it to you. It's pretty heavily modified, however. I use different tags for rating and a rather odd album art storage scheme, so all that would most likely not work for you. Lots of other little changes as well. Oh, and I removed the WSH panel because it was crashing foobar on my machine. So unless you want to dig through and fix all that stuff, it's probably not worth it to you. It's actually not tooo difficult to remove the Coverflow panel yourself. Just back up your foobar config file and start playing with it. If you screw it up, just copy the config back over.

I think I have a similar problem like nikolai4ik with the rating stars in ELPlaylist and Track Info Panel.

After updating from 1.3a to 2.0b ratings only stored in tag are shown as stars, but I'm always rating with Playback Statistics (foo_playcount 2.1.7).

Does anybody know how to fix it?

Edit: In Ibiza 1.6b the rating stars in ELPlaylist are working fine.

just uncheck 'hide on startup' option for the LASTFM panel in Splitter settings ... (right click on one of the playback button on top left)

i have not understood what is your pb with my rating engine ?? so please, be more clear.

note that rating engine in 1.3c and 2.0b are the same, no changes.

If I rate my music with Playback Statistics only, there are no Rating Stars. Only if I rate with your rating engine (with %rating% tag), or I write the statistics to File Tag there are stars.

I can't explain it in a better way.

i use %rating% (tag = RATING) to display stars, i do not know in what kind of tag playback statistic store the rate info...

btw, not an ibiza problem because i do not support playback statistics component in this config.

I've had the same problem with playback statistics, but found a work around:

Let playback statistics write all data to file tags. Delete all statistic tags but ratings (ibiza understands playcount, etc without tags).
Now the stars should appear in your config. However, if you want to rate your music you get a horrbible pop-up window. Therefore I set up quicktagger to write the ratings to tags. Then it works smoothly and still updates my autoplaylists the second I rate something.

Hello.

I have recently updated from version 1.6 to 2.0b
On a system set to Japanese locale, there seems to be missing text for the collapsed album lines, as you can see from the picture.
I modified the fonts a bit but I can't find where to modify the texts when the album is collapsed.

A second problem is for albums with less than 5 songs, or you have added less than 5 songs into the playlist for that album, it seems the the album art is truncated. The Date, Genre and Album gain texts are not shown. (Compare left and right of the attached picture) I cannot find the code that I can change to force the margin for the expanded album list to a higher value.

I'm not sure about the problem you're having with the fonts, but I just wanted to show you that my system is also set to a Japanese locale, and I can display everything perfectly without characters not showing up (you can even see some Korean in the screenshot).
When I got IBIZA I didn't modify any of the fonts, as they all worked fine for me. It might be the encoding that your mp3s are set to? I'm pretty sure that mine are all encoded in Shift-JIS encoding, not the North American ISO-whatever.

Hope you find out what's wrong!

I found the solution to above. There is a minimum item num setting in the ELplaylist configuration. I increased it from 4 to 6 which solves the above.

I still yet to solve the glowing text display problem

I found the culprit. The upper code is in the "group header" of the ELplaylist setting
When I replace the above with a simple:

I found the solution. The drawstring glow effect does not work in Vista with an old ELplaylist plugin.

Does anybody else have problems with the new plalist dropdown 0.6.9.9.

It seems to be opening, but everything is black and not clickable - changing colour don't have any effects.

Edit: With Dockable Panels everything is working fine.

Is the title bar at the top in black suppose to a part of the skin or is that a seperate like visual style?

Also when I click a song in my titlebar Foobar 2000 disappears but I see it the same in the image above, only showing the icon, but in the middle of the image above it's also showing the song name on the title bar and time, is the latest version of IBIZA suppose to do this?

One last thing, this is a great theme, very artistic, but the CD case looks cheap, it doesn't reflect the elegance of the skin, and in a newer version you should make a more elegant looking case, or just have images displayed only like the artists pic...

I got the stars working in the EL Playlist, but I don't get them working in Track Info Panel.

Any idea to get Playback Statistics Rating shown?

one question is there a way i can edit the letters underneath the now playing bar so that when i click a letter it will move to that letter in either the artist panel or the library panel as currently on a single click nothing happens and on a double click it plays the first artist if that letter (so in the case of the letter D when i double click it it starts to play Daft Punk)

I have been trying to get this to work with vista and was ended up with the same problems as other people reported - foobar2000 crashed when i tried to load it, but didnt produce a crash file so i couldnt see what was causing the problems.
After lots of hunting through the forums i finally managed to get it to work by installing Microsoft Scripting Control from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;displaylang=en
I think this is needed by chronflow - though it seemed to work by itself without it.
Hope this helps anybody who was having problems with this excellent theme

Concerning the "testing screen," you cannot disable that with IBIZA. It is needed so that certain components of the skin work correctly.

As for the wildcard scenario, I'm not sure what you can do about that. If the album art is named 'cover' or 'folder' it's rather easy. If your album art just has random names in each folder, you may have to rename them. Perhaps someone else could expand on this.

Right-Click somewhere in the dark between the tabs and title, choose Splitter Settings. "Start Panel" -> hide on start-up -> OK.
