Iam confusing lot of times because of this below questions jorgan
1.) is there any relation shp between filter bank channels and encoder channels
i.e is mpeg-4AAc supports upto 48 channels is this channels any link to filter bank channels and if that mant Mdct filter banks are required or not please help me

There is at least one filterbank per channel.

I say "at least" because there's short blocks, which are still 1 filterbank per shift length, but many per coder block, and also because one could use coupling channels to make more than 1 filterbank per channel.

If you use no coupling channels, and you count on a per-shift basis, there is one filterbank per channel.
