Hi,

I'm looking for a new CD player to connect to my Rotel RA-05 amp with two B&W 685 speakers (why a new one? the current (sony) one goes back to the home cinema stuff in our living room).

Now I really like to have a CD player on my desk to make CD and track switching easy while working, but all the HiFi CD players are quite big (same size as the amp, which I don't place on my desk).

After some research I found that DJ CD players are often a lot smaller. Can anyone tell me if a CD player like the Rotel RCD-06 is waaay better than all the DJ players out there, or isn't there any difference (keep in mind that I connect it to a Rotel RA-05 amp with two B&W 685 speakers)?

And can anyone recommend me a good small DJ CD player?

Thanks!

P.S. My budget gives me a max. of aprox 500-600 euro's, but if you find that a player of max aprox 1000 euro's is waaay better, please tell me: I might reconsider my budget...

Even a $100 (or probably less) CD player will sound identical to one costing $1000, particularly if it has a digital output.
