I just installed Vista Ultimate 64 bit on a new custom build. It has a RealTek HD audio card (integrated). I tried running foobar, and every time I try to play a file I get the error:

DirectSoundCreate failed : 80010106

In output options I have:

Null Output
Primary Sound Driver
Speakers (High Definition Audio Device)
Digital Output Device (SPDIF) (High Definition Audio Device)

I've tried different output data formats, all yield the same result (except for the Null Ouput, which is obviously useless).

Anybody have a clue what's wrong?

EDIT: I just installed the WASAPI component, and it seems to work, at least as a temporary solution. I don't like that it mutes all other sounds.
EDIT2: Well, I guess I should have spent some more time on this. Installed ASIO4ALL and everything is just wonderful.
EDIT3: I take that back. This is far from stable.

If you are using foo_title, it may be the cause. The only solution is removing foo_title (the files foo_managedWrapper.dll and dotnet_title.dll).

Nope, I'm not using that.

Hmm... I just tried a clean install and now DS seems to work. I guess it is a component conflict, just not that one. Thanks for the tip!
